The Daily Mail are today reporting that Kaka could be close to joining Manchester United on a season-long loan as Real Madrid look to finally sign Luka Modric from Tottenham.
The Brazilian international has been linked with a move to former club AC Milan throughout much of the summer transfer window, but United are set to be his desired destination.
The 30-year-old has struggled to impress at the La Liga Champions and seems keen to leave the Bernabeu to play more football than he is at the moment.
He was an unused substitute in Jose Mourinho’s men opening day draw with Valencia over the weekend.
Although Sir Alex Ferguson is an admirer of Kaka, he will know what a risk it would be taking him on board due to his poor form and list of injury problems.
With him being one of the highest earners at Real, they are desperate to offload him to free up more funds for the Modric deal to go through.
Robin Van Persie has of course already joined United this summer and the Brazilian could be another fantastic bit of business and a massive sign of intent from the manager.
If he managed to stay fit, then Kaka could help the Red Devils regain their English Premier League title.
