Kaka switch to Chelsea would be wrong move

Recent rumours linking Brazilian international playmaker Kaka with a move to Chelsea don’t seem to go away.

The Brazilian cost Real Madrid £55million last summer but he struggled with injuries and never found his top form at the Bernabeu in his La Liga debut season.

Quality

Kaka is of course a talented player. In fact he is one of the best in the world on his day. He has sublimed vision with the ball that very few players have.

He showed his quality at AC Milan for six years and also in his international career with Brazil but recently due to injuries has struggled to showcase his talents.

Point

Although he is rated as one of the best in the world he still has plenty to prove in the Spanish capital. His critics say he has struggled to adapt to life in Spain and even suggested that he could return to Milan with his tail between his legs.

I would say that before anyone can make any judgements he needs to be given a full season in La Liga. He has too much quality in those boots not to make it in Spain. I can guarantee that if Kaka is fully fit next season he will prove a success.

Reports from the Spanish media over the weekend suggested that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho could sell the Brazilian to raise funds to strengthen his squad. It now looks unlikely that the Brazilian will be leaving. Few clubs could afford his fee and wages and with Chelsea ruled out he should get his chance to impress at Real next season.

Denial

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the Brazilian midfielder after managing him at AC Milan. The Italian also brought him to Europe from Sao Paulo when he was just a youngster. Ancelotti however has denied his club are set to sign the 28 year-old.  Ancelotti told Sky Italia: “Kaka cannot come to Chelsea,”

“He was one player of mine and has done so much for Milan, but now he belongs to Real Madrid and he will decide about his future along with his current club. Certainly neither I nor Chelsea will do it (decide his future).”

Other Options

Chelsea are short of midfield options at the moment but if reports are to be believed are more likely to make a move for £12million rated Werder Bremen playmaker Mesut Ozil. The German would prove a much more cost effective signing.

Chelsea are also set to sign Kaka’s international teammate Ramires from Benfica for a fee in the region of £19million. There are some complications with the ownership of the player but all parties are expected to agree a deal in the next week according to reports.

Next Season

For Kaka next season will be all about finding his form and trying to help Real overcome their rivals Barcelona in La Liga. I also believe Jose Mourinho is probably the right man to get the best out of him. He knows how to deal with big egos and big talents. Hopefully next season Kaka will rediscover the form which made him one of the most admired players in the world.

Can Kaka rediscover his form next season?

I say it’s a wrong move Chelsea did but hey, all they do is waste money, last 10 years 700 miljon euros wasted and still no Champions League win. Pretty ridiculous as that is the main goal Chelsea has and keeps failing on it.

Sorry Man. U. will win all again ;/

    Hes not just great
Hes absolutely fantastic. Imo, the future of French football. He could be (if he develops), one of the great French players up there with Zizou. He has the power to distribute and score. He’s the total package. Milan cast him aside because they had Kaka at the time. A huge mistake.

What Chelsea needs is another Essien. I’ve always loved him, and the way he plays. He’s the type of footballer that can change the outcome of a game. He has a rocket shot, and he can work behind the scenes. (Linking passes from D to attack, distributing to the wings).

    What Chelsea needs…is Yoanne Gourcuff

Torres? With his own injury problems. It seems all the stars of most teams get a lot of set backs. . . . Kaka, Gerrard, Rooney, Ballack at times, Torres, and Robin Van Persie too.

CFC fan is right. Kaka’ and whatever is left of his knees should stay away from the bridge. Kroos I would like. Or Ozeil. Or Sweinsteiger. Youth is imperative to Chelsea’s success. Lamps needs a replacement. So does Drogs… I pray Torres comes.

Danny: Madrid would be crazy to let him go, but they have so many big time players already that I don’t think it’d really make MUCH of a difference. . . Madrid just wouldn’t make as much money off of the Kaka #8 jerseys.

kaka would do well in England, after all he’s still one on the top ten in the world. but, as Chelsea are huge rivals of Manchester United, if he’s to move to England, Old Trafford should be his only option. I dont want to see one of my all time favs to score against the club I support.

  • Chelsea FC Fan

@NSNO…you’re definitely right…in fact, Kaka could help any team in the world with his genius. I was just whining that he would never make the switch to England from Spain, much less a move to Chelsea over rivals big-money spending City and Man U…the latter two might have more of an appeal to superstars..

But, i’ve also said I do not want to see Kaka bring his injury problems to Stamford Bridge. I think there is more to his injury than people let on and he is too much money to gamble on. It looks like Ramires will make it to London after all, but still not certain…he’s 1/3 the price of Kaka and very effective in the midfield.

I don’t want to see Chelsea bring any one player @ 30+ million…there is a lot of talent still with the team and that kind of spending is not necessary…I understand there is a certain calibre of player you forego when you set a limit, but Chelsea do not need superstars – we need team players that are loyal and willing to fight day in and day out and set a precedent for others to follow…Terry, Lampard and Drogba have held the reins for awhile and will have to give it up soon – i’d like to know Chelsea were looking at long-term solutions to carry on the dynasty….

I’ve never gotten my hopes up about Kaka leaving Spain for England anyway…highly unlikely and i’m not sure why these rumors keep going around, but I guess sometimes where there is smoke there is fire…

@Brad…i’m not sure a move to Chelsea would deter him from scoring goals – with Chelsea’s offence, there are goals to go around for everyone…

I’m thinking this season he will score at least 10 goals in la liga alone, with another 3 or 4 in all other competitions. move to CFC (sorry CFC Fan), and he could ruin his chance to do so.
