El Confidencial has revealed that Real Madrid star Kaka is looking to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Los Blancos were willing to cash in on the Brazilian in the summer, as he wanted to depart in search of first team football, but Kaka ultimately decided to stay and fight for his place at Santiago Bernabeu.
El Confidencial understands that the 30-year-old has changed his opinion after making just one La Liga start this season and that he now wants out.
The player’s father and agent Bosco Leite has requested a meeting with Real Madrid chiefs to notify them of Kaka’s desire to leave the club.
Even if Real Madrid officials are likely to accept the transfer request, the player will possibly have to accept a major pay cut in order to complete his move.
Kaka has utterly failed to justify his hefty price tag at Santiago Bernabeu, having scored just 20 league goals in three and a half seasons with los Merengues.
