Kaka wants Real stay
Brazilian midfielder Kaka has poured cold water on speculations linking him with a summer exit from Santiago Bernabeu.
The highly rated playmaker has struggled to break into Real’s starting line-up this season, which led to speculations that he could leave the club in the summer.
The Brazilian reveals he is delighted with team’s La Liga success, but admits he is not entirely happy with the lack of playing time.
“It’s something new for me,” Kaka told TV Globo. “I’m happy about winning the league but it’s different to what I’m used to.”
“It gives me more motivation to try to overcome a new challenge.”
Nonetheless, the Brazilian is adamant he would like to see out his contract at Santiago Bernabeu.
“I would like to stay at Real. I have three more years on my contract.”
Kaka started the season as a back-up to Mesut Ozil, but he has been getting more and more first team opportunities as the season unfolded and has featured in a total of 27 La Liga games, scoring 5 goals in the process.
Soldado talks up PSG move
Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has welcomed speculations linking him with a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old has been in remarkable form this season and has seen his name linked with a number of high-profile sides.
The player now explains he is aware of the interest from Paris Saint-Germain and admits he is tempted by the prospect of joining such a great club.
“It’s flattering that PSG are interested in me,” Soldado told Telefoot. “They hold significance on the European scene and have an interesting project.
“If PSG made an offer that meets Valencia’s asking price, then I will study it. I appreciate the competitiveness of football in France.
“However, If Valencia tell me to stay, then I will.”
The Spanish international has a contract until June 2014 at Mestalla, but he could decide to leave for greener pastures after the best season in his career.
Soldado has scored a total of 27 goals in 51 competitive games across four competitions this season.
Lazio weighing up move for Ezequiel Garay
Lazio are showing interest in Benfica centre-back Ezequiel Garay, Portuguese newspaper A Bola understands.
The Biancocelesti are still battling with Udinese, Napoli and Inter for the final Champions League berth, but it appears the club officials are already preparing for the summer transfer window.
According to A Bola, the Italian giants are lining up a summer bid for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.
The Biancocelesti are not satisfied with the look of their back line and they see the experienced Argentine as a perfect solution for their defensive worries.
The 25-year-old only joined Benfica last summer in a €5.5 million deal from Real Madrid, but it is believed the Eagles would not be able to resist a big money offer.
Garay has a contract until June 2015 at La Luz, with his release clause set at €20 million.
The highly rated Argentine has enjoyed a bright start to his career in Portugal and established his reputation as one of the best defenders in European football.
