The Liverpool Echo are reporting that Chelsea attacker Salomon Kalou could be on his way to Anfield this summer.
The Ivory Coast international is out of contract at Stamford Bridge and could relish the opportunity of working with new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers at Chelsea earlier in his career.
Kalou has not found himself in the starting eleven for the majority of time at Chelsea and may now want to show he is a top quality Premier League player.
In terms of who else may be interested – according to the Daily Mail, Schalke are currently in the hot seat to sign the 26-year-old.
After achieving almost everything the game has to offer in his time at Chelsea, Kalou may welcome a move away from the Premier League – it would certainly be a new challenge for him.
New manager at the London side Roberto Di Matteo was a man who did give the forward more pitch time and he helped the side upset all of the odds and win the Champions League.
Whatever happens – the fight for Kalou is likely to be much talked about in the transfer market this summer with plenty of clubs chasing his signature.
