Kalou talks up Premier League return

Lille forward Salomon Kalou has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to return to the English Premier League.

The Ivory Coast international left Chelsea to join Lille on a free transfer last summer, and he has had a promising start to his career in France.

Kalou, 27, has been linked with a move to Arsenal recently, and he admits he wouldn’t mind returning to the Premiership.

“I’d love to go back to England. I spent six seasons there and I am crazy about the Premier League,” Kalou was quoted as saying in The Sun.

“Players’ careers change so quickly — you never know what will happen tomorrow.”

Kalou began his professional career at Excelsior, but it was at Feyenoord that he made a name for himself.

The Ivorian made a switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2006 and went on to score 37 goals in 155 Premier League appearances despite never establishing himself as a first team regular at Chelsea.

This term Kalou has scored 8 goals in 22 Ligue 1 matches for Lille, while netting once in seven Champions League fixtures.
