Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara has joined Championship side Leicester City on loan for the rest of the season.
Kamara, 30, has made just 10 first-team appearances for Fulham in this season’s Premier League, scoring two goals. The return of striker Bobby Zamora from injury and the loan signing of Eidur Gudjohnsen has seen the Senegalese forward fall out of favour at Craven Cottage.”Diomansy is a quality striker and will be a great addition to our team,” Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson said.”He brings with him pace, good technical ability and of course, Premier League quality. I am sure he will settle in well and will be an exciting player for the club.”The loan deal allows Kamara to stay at the club for the play-offs should the Foxes feature and will see him form a partnership with Nigerian forward Yakubu, who is on loan from Premier League club Everton.Kamara has bundles of Championship experience and scored 23 goals in 2006-07, helping West Brom to a spot in the play-offs and earning the PFA’s Championshop Player of the Year award. Since moving to Fulham he has scored 18 goals in 68 appearances for the Cottagers. He also went out on loan last season, scoring three goals in 10 appearances for Scottish giants Celtic.Leicester are five points off the play-off places with eight matches to play.
