According to Marca, Robert Lewandowski has made it clear he wants to move to Real Madrid this summer, and the situation has prompted Bayern Munich to start a search for a suitable replacement.
Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, who has recently been linked with Liverpool, is currently the likeliest choice, but Bayern are reportedly “thinking big” as they always do, and therefore they won’t rule out going for Spurs’ striker Harry Kane, especially if they succeed in their intention to secure the managerial prowess of Mauricio Pochettino.
It didn’t take long for Jupp Heynckess to put Bayern back on the right track after the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti, but as he has only come back from retirement for this season, a new manager is also a priority for the Bavarians. And should Pochettino be the one to take over, it’s highly likely their attention would shift from Werner to Kane as the next main source of goals – following a potential Lewandowski departure.
