Kane, Mbappe, Olise, Hojlund, Alvarez: The Daily Transfer Round Up – Monday, July 24

Levy handed a Kane ultimatum

While Daniel Levy might have made it publicly clear that he is desperate to keep Harry Kane in north London this summer, The Telegraph are reporting that the Tottenham chairman could be forced to cash in on his attacking icon this summer.

With club owner Joe Lewis reportedly informing Levy that he is unwilling for the England skipper to leave on a free transfer next summer, Kane could finally be handed his move away from the English capital before the transfer window slams shut.

While Spurs might have placed a £120million price tag on their record-breaking striker this summer, it has been suggested that Kane has his sights firmly set on securing a move to German giants Bayern Munich over the coming weeks.

Notching 30 Premier League strikes last season and leading England to a World Cup quarter-final finish out in Qatar over the winter, the reigning Bundesliga champions have already seen two official bids rejected this summer and are desperate to finally snap up Kane’s signature.

Tottenham planning a stunning Mbappe swoop

Although fans around north London might have accepted that Kane will finally be granted his move away from the capital this summer, Marca are suggesting that the Tottenham hierarchy are eyeing up what would be a stunning replacement.

With PSG announcing over the weekend that Kylian Mbappe will not be travelling out with the rest of their squad for a pre-season trip of Asia, the French heavyweights have made it clear that they will be forcing the 24-year-old out of the door this summer.

In the midst of what has become a remarkable summer saga, the French skipper has made it clear that he is willing to sit out the final 12 months of his deal in Paris in order to secure a free switch away from Princes Park next year.

Notching 29 Ligue 1 strikes last season and widely regarded to be world football’s most prized assets, Marca’s report suggests that Spurs are weighing up what would be one of the most stunning swoops of the modern era.

City and Chelsea battle it out for Olise

While Chelsea might have watched a string of their first-team stars head for the Stamford Bridge exit this summer, it is no secret that Mauricio Pochettino has a real job on his hands in west London.

With the ex-Tottenham boss looking to bring in a host of new attacking options before the window slams shut, RMC Sport are reporting that the Chelsea hierarchy are inching towards a deal for Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.

While it might have also been suggested that reigning Premier League champions Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old’s situation at Selhurst Park, RMC are reporting that the Blues have already agreed a deal in principle for Olise this summer.

Reportedly holding a £35million release clause in his current deal with Roy Hodgson’s side, it is believed that the former Reading starlet is eager to complete a move across the capital over the next six weeks.

Hojlund wants his Manchester United switch completed immediately

While Manchester United might have announced that attacking talisman Marcus Rashford has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal, Erik ten Hag has a new number nine at the very top of his summer wishlist.

After falling short of an audacious swoop for Kane last month, it appears that the former Ajax boss has identified Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund has his number-one target this summer.

Enjoying what was a breakout campaign with La Dea last season and with growing comparisons to Erling Haaland, the 20-year-old marksman is regarded to be one of Europe’s hottest young striking starlets.

While it might have been suggested this month that Atalanta value their attacking MVP as high as £85million, Teamtalk are reporting that the Denmark international has already agreed on a long-term deal at Old Trafford and wants his Premier League switch completed immediately.

Hammers confident in completing Alvarez swoop

With it finally announced last week that Declan Rice had completed his £105million move to Arsenal, West Ham know that they have a huge void to fill in the middle of the park this summer.

Watching a second bid in excess of £50million get knocked back by Fulham for Joao Palhinha, Football Insider are reporting that the Hammers have turned their attention to Ajax’s Edson Alvarez.

With it suggested that Ajax are willing to cash in on the Mexican international if they receive an offer in the region of £40million, David Moyes has identified Alvarez has his number-one option to replace Rice at the London Stadium.

Heavily linked with a move to Chelsea during January’s transfer window earlier in the year, it is believed that the 25-year-old is keen on the idea of completing his Premier League move before the transfer window slams shut.
