According to The Telegraph, Harry Kane has no interest in leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Paris Saint-Germain. The England captain is only open to joining Bayern Munich at this point, which leaves Spurs in a “straight fight” against the Bavarians for their star striker.
On one hand, Kane is the beacon of light at Spurs, their undoubtedly main player whose goals and ability to create have often bailed them out of difficulties in the past, and whose presence on the pitch forces the opposition into paying extra attention at the back. Therefore, their wish for him to stay put is understandable, but on the other hand, so is his openness to the idea of signing for Bayern, given that he’s yet to win a major trophy in what’s otherwise been a highly illustrious career.
Like Bayern, PSG are said to be looking for a big-name No. 9, a proven goalscorer to lead their attacking line. Kane obviously fits that description perfectly, and with less than a year left on his contract, it does make sense for the Ligue 1 giants to try and worm their way into the race for his services.
However, Kane obviously doesn’t want to play in France, which should put a stop to PSG’s interest and force them to look elsewhere.
