Kane to snub Barcelona interest for Premier League stay

Harry Kane has reportedly informed Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy about his wish to leave the club this summer. Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be monitoring the situation and have already contacted the striker’s representatives, and The Times now report that Barcelona have also made inquiries about the possibility of taking him to the Camp Nou.

The Catalans are still searching for a player to properly replace Luis Suarez, who left to join Atletico Madrid last summer. However, it seems Kane’s preference at the moment is to stay in the Premier League, which puts the three clubs mentioned earlier at a significant advantage.

It still remains to be seen if Spurs actually agree to sell the 29-year-old England captain this summer with his contract set to run for three more years. Levy apparently values his services at up to £150 million. Meanwhile, United are contemplating the possibility of offering Jesse Lingard, currently on loan at West Ham, as part of the deal.
