Harry Kane could reportedly refuse to report for pre-season training with Tottenham Hotspur in order to try and force a move to Manchester City as, according to The Telegraph, some of his England teammates believe.
Despite manager Pep Guardiola mentioning on more than one occasion that the club might not be able to afford a striker to replace Sergio Aguero in their ranks, the Premier League champions have already communicated their readiness to pay £100 million for the services of the 27-year-old striker. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is believed to be adamant about not listening to any offers for the England captain.
Kane is currently on his three-week holiday following England’s defeat in the final of the Euros, and if Levy’s stance doesn’t change, he could opt to make his own stance clear by not turning up at the club when he is supposed to.
A similar thing happened with Gareth Bale in 2013, when the Welsh winger eventually got his wish to join Real Madrid.
