Sporting Kansas City host MLS Champions the Colorado Rapids in the second leg of their Western Conference semi-final with a two-goal lead.
A Teal Bunbury double eased Kansas to a crucial 2-0 win away in Denver and they have been given a further boost with the Rapids missing eight players for the trip Livestrong Sporting Park.
Bunbury said the return tie would be all about focus and was quick to pay respect to the defending champions.
“The first game went well but now that is over with and right now we are focused on the second leg,” Bunbury said.
“We are going into it with a 0-0 game and we need to go out there and get the job done, stay composed, be patient and not try to rush things or be undisciplined.”
“We have got to respect them because they are the defending champs and anything can happen in the play-offs.”
And Kansas captain Davy Arnaud knows Colorado will come out firing.
“We are looking forward to the game and I think we are in a good spot right now,” Arnaud said.
“Having said that, we know that nothing is won yet and they are going to come out flying because they have nothing to lose.”
