Wigan manager Steve Bruce signed Olivier Kapo for the second time as the France midfielder completed a 3.5 million pounds (4.3 million euros) move from Birmingham on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Ivory Coast-born player agreed a three-year contract with the Premier League club after passing a medical.
Bruce signed Kapo, who has won nine caps for France and scored three times, during his time in charge at St Andrews and moved for the former Auxerre star again following Birmingham’s relegation from the Premier League last season.
Kapo is the second Birmingham player to join Wigan this close-season following Dutch midfielder Daniel de Ridder’s move on a free transfer.
