Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is believed to be edging closer to Santiago Bernabeu exit.
The French forward has not enjoyed the best of goal scoring record of late and Florentino Perez is said to be frustrated with his decreasing form.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon is suggesting that Real Madrid boss is said to be frustrated with how the summer transfer window panned out for his club and is ready to take matters into his own hands.
Perez is keen to get Benzema off the club’s books in order to make room for Juventus star Paulo Dybala, who could leave Juventus next summer. The latest rumours come as positive news for Arsenal who could be given a chance to sign their long-term target Benzema for a cut-price deal.
On the other side, French news giant L’Equipe is reporting that Karim Benzema will be offered a contract extension at Real Madrid.
Benzema’s current deal with Los Blancos expires in 2019 and the European champions apparently want to keep hold of him until 2021.
