Liverpool‘s Loris Karius is wanted by Besiktas, according to the Mirror, and manager Jürgen Klopp is prepared to let him go.
Karius endured a nightmare in the Champions League final as his two howlers practically gifted the trophy to Real Madrid, and he has been under heavy pressure ever since. After the arrival of Alisson Becker from AS Roma for a world-record goalkeeper fee, he spoke of his disappointment and the possibility of leaving the club. The move for the Brazil international seems to indicate that Klopp has all but lost faith in Karius ever becoming the goalkeeper he wanted to develop him into.
Besiktas have now made an approach and the talks are ongoing. Their aim is to secure the services of the German ‘keeper on an initial loan move which could lead to a permanent transfer afterwards.
If the move happens, however, Klopp then wouldn’t let Simon Mignolet leave under any circumstances having already sold Danny Ward to Leicester earlier this summer.
