Karl Toko Ekambi undergoes Villarreal medical

Angers striker Karl Toko Ekambi is finally set to complete a move to Villarreal, according to France Football.

The Yellow Submarine have been negotiating a deal with the forward’s current employers for several weeks now and the transfer should be wrapped up in the coming days.

France Football claims a €20 million deal has been agreed, allowing the player to travel to Spain, where he will undergo a medical during the day.

Also followed by several Premier League sides, the Cameroon star decided to sign for Villarreal, where he will attempt to fill in the shoes of Cedric Bakambu.

Toko Ekambi was in excellent form last season, bagging 17 goals in 37 league outings, largely impressing in his second ever Ligue 1 campaign.
