AS Roma are keeping close tabs on Sampdoria midfielder Karol Linetty, according to Italian media outlet Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi aim to reinforce the midfield department in the January transfer window as they need back-up for the likes of Radja Nainggolan and Kevin Strootman.
And while Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie remains their number one target, AS Roma officials may have to search elsewhere due to heavy interest in the Ivorian’s services.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims that the Giallorossi are also closely monitoring the performances of Sampdoria midfielder Karol Linetty, who has impressed since joining from Lech Poznan.
The Polish footballer has started 11 of 12 league fixtures this season and his market price has doubled in the space of just few months.
His suitors AS Roma currently sit four points behind reigning champions Juventus, and they can be backed at 8/1 to lift the league trophy.
