World Cup heroes Eiji Kawashima and Jong Tae-Se are to depart J-League first division side Kawasaki Frontale for European clubs, reports said Friday.

Goalkeeper Kawashima, 27, who helped Japan reach the knock-out stages in South Africa, conceding only two goals in four games, will move to 1Lierse SK of Belgium, sports dailies quoted a Kawasaki official as saying.

Striker Jong, 26, who excelled in North Korea’s disappointing winless World Cup, will play for German side VfL Bochum.

According to the Kawasaki official, Kawashima will fly to Belgium next Tuesday while Jong leaves on Wednesday to sign his contract after a medical check-up.
