Kayserispor moved back to the top of the Turkish Super Lig thanks to a 1-2 win at Istanbul BB on Sunday.

As fellow leaders Fenerbahce had already won their match on Saturday, Kayserispor needed the three points to defend the top spot they had been occupying based on their goal record.

Things initially did not go as planned for Kayserispor, as Marquinhos Barbosa put Istanbul ahead after less than two minutes.

But Ariza Makukula equalized 11 minutes later and Alioum Saidou netted the winner eight minutes after the hour.

Besiktas were held to a 1-1 draw at Manisaspor and drop to fifth place as result. Bobo but the Istanbul side ahead on 24 minutes but Oumar Kalabana balanced things eight minutes later.
