Blackburn manager Steve Kean is backing goalkeeper Paul Robinson to regain a place in the England squad.
Robinson has been in great form for Rovers and put in a fine display against Aston Villa on Saturday to win a point at Ewood Park.
Kean told The Telegraph: “I certainly think he is good enough to get back in there and, with the change at the top, who’s to say he can’t do it?”
The Scot praised the incredible display by the former England shot stopper in their home draw with Villa.
“If it wasn’t for his performance in the first half today the game could have been beyond us,” he said.
