Brazilian youngster Keirrison has joined Fiorentina on a two-year loan deal from Spanish giants Barcelona.
The 21-year-old joined Barcelona in a €14million deal from Brazilian side Palmeiras last summer, but was loaned out to Portuguese side Benfica.
A statement from Fiorentina read: “Fiorentina announce they have reached an agreement with Barcelona for the temporary acquisition of Keirrison for the next two seasons. The deal will be completed after the player passes a medical in the next few hours.”
Keirrison has admitted he is delighted with his move to Fiorentina.
“Fiorentina have always followed me, ever since I was playing for Coritiba,” Keirrison told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.
“When my representatives told me there was a chance I could move to Fiorentina, I said yes right away because I wanted to join a club who had always appreciated me. It’s the best choice for me.”
