Premier League champions Manchester City are pondering a January bid for AC Milan star Keisuke Honda, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Manuel Pellegrini apparently plans to recruit another attacking midfielder this winter and he has set his sights on the Japan international.
But, with Honda developing into a key player at San Siro, it is believed the Rossoneri would ask for a transfer fee in the region of €18m to €20m.
The 28-year-old joined AC Milan on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow last January, and he had a somewhat slow start to his career in Italy.
However, Honda has largely impressed this season, having managed 6 goals and 2 assist in 7 Serie A outings to prove everyone he deserves to play at this level.
The Rossoneri seriously improved their league position thanks to back to back wins over Chievo and Hellas Verona, and can now be backed at 21/20 to see off Fiorentina as well.
