After much speculation of where Lazio’s Keita Baldé would go, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the young forward is on his way to Monaco.
Keita was heavily scouted by various teams as each passing day a new suitor wanted his services, as Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, Juventus and Liverpool were all potential targets for the Senegalese player.
However, the 22-year-old forward has reportedly chosen to join the defending French champions and is undergoing his medical exams as he is expected to be announced soon.
Monaco reportedly paid Lazio a fee of €30 million for the Spanish-born Keita, making him the fifth signing of the season for the club.
The forward made the most of his career in Rome, spending over six years at the youth and senior level with the Italian club.
Since making his debut for the senior club, Keita has made over 130 total appearances and netted 31 goals for the Biancazzurri.
