Towering Australia striker Josh Kennedy has signed for Japan’s Nagoya Grampus, the J-League club said on Sunday.

Kennedy, who helped the Socceroos qualify for next year’s World Cup, joins Nagoya from Germany’s Karlsruhe following their relegation from the Bundesliga.

The 26-year-old had demanded a move from Karlsruhe in order to get more first-team opportunities before the World Cup finals in South Africa.
