Kent says he was ‘lied to’ during Liverpool exit

“It was very tough,” he said. “I had to stay mentally strong, when you are told you can do one thing and then you are lied to and it doesn’t happen, that is quite hard to take.”

Those are the words of Rangers star Ryan Kent, who has sensationally claimed that he was lied to during his departure from Liverpool during the summer transfer window. Kent had spent last season on loan at Rangers, and was seemingly interested in returning to Glasgow – but there were some stumbling blocks, and it took until deadline day before it was officially confirmed.

He featured in Liverpool’s pre-season but was unable to break into Jurgen Klopp’s plans, claiming that it was a difficult time for him up until the point that Rangers were able to get the deal back on track.

Now, he seems to be playing some of the best football of his career.
