Spanish daily newspaper Marca has suggested that Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa has agreed to join Real Madrid in January.
The highly rated shot-stopper has decided not to renew his contract at San Mames that is due to expire at the end of the season.
Kepa in turn agreed a six-year contract with Real Madrid worth €2.5 million per season, and it is only a matter of time before the transfer is made official.
Los Blancos would have no problems matching a €20 million release clause in the player’s contract, but they will offer Athletic €25 million for his services as a gesture of good will.
In case los Leones reject said offer, Real Madrid will match said buy-out clause and add Kepa to their ranks in the January transfer window.
