The Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to reach an imminent agreement with Real Madrid over a January move to Santiago Bernabeu, Spanish media outlet Marca suggests.
Kepa is regarded as one of the hottest goalkeeping talents to have emerged from Spanish football after United’s No.1 David De Gea.
His contract with Athletic Bilbao expires at the end of the season and the Basque side have been unsuccessfully attempting to tie him down to a new long-term deal at San Mames with his current situation becoming a proper contact dispute.
Bilbao are said to have lost the patience and will sanction the move in January to avoid losing him for free next summer.
Real Madrid have long been linked with the talented custodian and Florentino Perez is already preparing a bid worth €20 million which is the exact amount of Kepa’s release clause.
Los Blancos travel to San Mames this weekend and will have another close-up of Kepa in action on Saturday. Zidane’s men ca be found at 5/11 to claim three important points against the Basque club.
