Spanish daily newspaper Marca claims that Athletic Club starlet Kepa Arrizabalaga is nearing a switch to Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid appear to have made the 23-year-old their number one target to replace Keylor Navas and this could prove a genuine bargain deal.
Namely, Kepa’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he is no closer to signing a new deal at San Mames despite the facts that talks have been in proggres since January.
And while the talented goalkeeper could join Real Madrid on a free transfer in June, los Blancos are reportedly prepared to pay Athletic around €20 million so as not to upset their league rivals.
Despite having mere 33 La Liga appearances to his name, Kepa is already a regular member of the Spain national team and is also on the radar of Juventus, Arsenal and few more top clubs.
