Liverpool have long been linked with Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton and Hove Albion and Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich as they seek to rebuild their midfield section. Fresh reports claim Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone and OGC Nice’s Kephren Thuram, both 22 years old, have been added to the list.
With James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already gone from the club as free agents, along with the fact that Liverpool already seemed short in midfield even with these players in their ranks, manager Jurgen Klopp getting four new faces to work with shouldn’t come as a surprise.
It’s French outlet L’Equipe whose report claims the Reds have opened talks with Nice over Thuram, son of former France international Lilian, while the stories about Kone come from several sources; Fabrizio Romano says the Gladbach midfielder has been added to the list, and German journalist Christian Falk went a bit further to say talks are ongoing there as well.
