According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Franck Kessie has turned down a new contract offer from AC Milan in favour of leaving next summer.
The idea, at least in principle, would be for him to make his way over to Tottenham Hotspur once he becomes a free agent. The 24-year-old is easily still one of the most intriguing central midfielders in Europe and moving forward, could and probably should be a major target for Spurs – especially if they can have a strong campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo.
There’s always a chance they could make a late move for him before the current summer transfer window closes but if they’re able to get a free transfer done and arranged in January, which will then go through just a few months later, it could turn out to be the best option available.
Of course, as we’ve already said, there are a lot of things that need to go right for this to happen.
