Kevin Gameiro hints at January exit

Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro has admitted that he could leave Wanda Metropolitano in the winter transfer window.

With Diego Costa and Vitolo both set to join los Colchoneros, Diego Simeone will offload a couple of attack-minded footballers and the Frenchman is one of those who are being linked with a January exit.

After making just his third league start of the season against Levante, Gameiro addressed the transfer speculation.

“At the moment I’m giving everything for the team, I’m fine here and we’ll see what happens in January,” Gameiro confessed to Marca.

“It’s normal to be much happier when you are scoring goals and contributing to the team.”

Gameiro did well to score 3 goals in just 274 minutes of league football this season, after bagging 12 goals in 31 La Liga games last term.
