Serie A high-flyers Inter Milan are considering a summer move for long-term target Kevin Strootman, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri have ambitious plans for the summer transfer window and they are believed to have already secured the signature of Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij.
At the same time, they are also working on other targets and now look set to make an assault on AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.
The Nerazzurri aim to shake up their midfield options and they believe the Netherlands international would be an excellent addition to the squad.
Kevin Strootman, 28, has a €32 million release clause in his contract, but Inter could try and lower the asking price by including either Marcelo Brozovic or Joao Mario in the deal.
