Tuttosport claims that Italian champions Juventus look set to reignite their interest in AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.
The Bianconeri have yet to recruit a high-profile central midfielder, with Emre Can, Blaise Matuidi, Mateo Kovacic and Steven N’Zonzi some of their targets.
But, with negotiations with Liverpool for the German midfielder not producing desired results, Juventus appear to be turning their attention towards Kevin Strootman.
The Dutch footballer reclaimed his place in the starting line-up at Stadio Olimpico after recovering from injury and he is seen as a potentially a great addition to Max Allegri’s squad.
Even though AS Roma will not be keen on selling Strootman to their Serie A title rivals, a big money offer could make the Giallorossi change their minds.
The 27-year-old spent last four years at Stadio Olimpico, but only managed 69 Serie A appearances due to a couple of serious injuries.
