(GSM) – Stuttgart midfielder Sami Khedira has made it clear he hasn’t agreed personal terms yet with Real Madrid.
Last week, Marca suggested that Real had already reached an agreement with the Germany international but Khedira has denied those reports.
“At the moment I haven’t reached an agreement with Real Madrid and I haven’t even made a decision about my future yet,” Khedira was quoted as saying by German sports magazine Kicker.
“I can confirm that they are interested in signing me and that flatters me. However, I have to think about it before I make a decision. This will be very important for the next few years of my career, so I don’t want to make a hasty decision.
“I had a meeting with Stuttgart’s technical director Jochen Schneider and head coach Christian Gross last Thursday. They explained their plans for the future and told me that I’m an important player in their plans.”
The holding midfielder had an impressive 2010 World Cup and has since been regularly linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabéu. His current Stuttgart deal runs until the summer of 2011.
