According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Juventus are pushing ahead with plans to terminate Sami Khedira’s contract.
The belief is that this will become official in the coming weeks as the 33-year-old prepares to move on to something new. Khedira has been with Juve since back in 2015 but after five years, it finally appears as if his time in Italy has come to an end.
Juventus have one major mission outside of Serie A and that is to claim the title of European champions. They’ve come close over the course of the last few years but haven’t quite been able to get over the finish line, and while Khedira’s exit may not be the answer to their problems, it appears as if they’re starting to try and find the right balance in their squad.
They need a mixture of youth and experience and right now, Khedira doesn’t fit the bill.
