Stefan Kiessling has stressed his desire to win a trophy with Bayer Leverkusen in the near future.
Kiessling, 29, signed a new contract with the club last month, keeping him at the Bay Arena until 2017.
Leverkusen qualified for the UEFA Champions League after finishing third in the Bundesliga last season and Kiessling contributed heavily to their success, scoring 27 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
However, the striker, capped six times by Germany, is eager for Leverkusen to take the next step and capture their first silverware since 1993 sooner rather than later.
“I want to win a title with Bayer, whether it’s the DFB-Pokal, the championship or international” he told Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger
“I still have a few years to achieve that.”
Kiessling was also quick to express his belief that a trophy would help Leverkusen establish themselves as one of the biggest clubs in Germany.
“This is the fastest way to draw attention to themselves,” he added.
