Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom has completed a move to Spartak Moscow, Lyon have announced on their official website.
The two clubs agreed a €3 million transfer fee few days ago, with the French club entitled to another €600,000 depending on performance related bonuses.
The 29-year-old expressed his desire to leave the club last summer and again in January, but he eventually finished the season at Gerland despite interest from several Russian sides.
Just when the Swede was expected to make a switch to Rubin Kazan, Spartak Moscow moved to hijack the deal and managed to persuade the player to join them instead.
Kim Kallstrom has enjoyed a lot of success at Gerland since making a €6 million move from Rennes in August 2006, although the last few years have been very disappointing for the French giants.
The Swedish international has scored a total of 17 goals in 199 Ligue 1 games for les Gones.
