Turkish media outlet Fanatik has learned that Fenerbahce are on the verge of recruiting Danish defender Simon Kjaer from Lille.

The Danish centre-back was looking to leave les Dogues for greener pastures and he has been linked with quite a few top sides.

However, it appears that Fenerbahce have won the chase for his signature, with Kjaer arriving in Istanbul after playing for Denmark in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Serbia.

The Turkish giants will pay around €10 million for the 26-year-old footballer, who is about to sign a lucrative deal at Sukru Saracoglu.

Kjaer spent last two years at Lille, making 65 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring one goal in the process.

After coming through the youth ranks at Midtjylland, the centre-back also played for Palermo, Wolfsburg and AS Roma.

Atletico keep tabs on Mammana

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid continue to keep a close eye on River Plate starlet Emanuel Mammana, according to Marca.

However, while coach Diego Simeone confirmed his interest in the talented defender, los Colchoneros have no plans to come forward with an official proposal this summer.

Atletico want the youngster to play another season in Argentina’s top flight before making a move to Vicente Calderon, but it remains to be seen whether Mammana will be prepared to wait for the La Liga side.

The 19-year-old is believed to be on the radar of few more top clubs and some of his suitors may try and wrap up the deal in the summer transfer window.

Mammana has returned from the Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand after Argentina crashed out in the group stage and he will soon resume preparations for the final stage of Copa Libertadores.

The talented centre-back has so far made just six league appearances for River Plate, while also starting three Copa Libertadores fixtures.

Sporting close on Bryan Ruiz

Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola is reporting that Sporting Lisbon will soon complete a deal for Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz.

The Costa Rican is desperate to leave the Championship side this summer and he is clearly interested in moving to Estadio Jose Alvalade.

According to A Bola, the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement over a transfer fee, believed to be just under €2 million.

Bryan Ruiz, 29, has seen his career start taking the wrong turn after leaving Twente for Fulham, but he has continued with impressive showings on international level.

The forward captained Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup finals, scoring two goals in five matches to help Los Ticos reach the quarter-finals.

Ruiz now hopes to kick-start his club career by joining Sporting Lisbon, with the Lions recently starting a very ambitious project.
