Klopp believes players are ready to fight for their place

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that despite the incoming players that have been brought into the club, every single player is focused on fighting for their place in the first team. Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri have all walked through the door since the conclusion of last season with Alisson being the next man up, and given their free-spending attitude, we wouldn’t be surprised to see even more new faces coming to Anfield.

Alas, whilst it may be exciting for the fans, there’s always the possibility of it being a daunting prospect for the players themselves. Instead of fearing the worst, though, Klopp has assured the media and fans alike that the squad members are relishing the new signings as they know what it means for the overall picture of Liverpool Football Club. The stature of the team is growing and it’s been that way for a while now.
