Barca want Klopp to replace Xavi

Shockingly announcing his Liverpool retirement plans last month, Jurgen Klopp is desperate to sign off his Anfield fairytale with another Premier League crown.

However, while it might have been suggested that the 56-year-old is keen on an extended break, there is speculation that Spanish icons Barcelona are desperate to bring Klopp over to Catalonia.

With it confirmed last week that Xavi will be leaving the Nou Camp at the end of the season, the Barca hierarchy have reportedly identified the German tactician as their number one candidate.

Klopp has become one of Liverpool’s most iconic managers after leading the Reds to both Champions League and domestic success during his nine-year spell in charge at Anfield.

With suggestions that Klopp had held initial conversations with Barcelona president Joan Laporta back in 2022, the defending La Liga champions will reportedly do anything within their power to bring Klopp over to Spain this summer.

Eriksen could be heading for an Old Trafford exit

While the Premier League’s January transfer window might have slammed shut last week, Turkey’s Deadline Day doesn’t close until Friday.

Not making a single appearance across any competition since Manchester United’s 2-2 stalemate against Tottenham last month, there has been growing suggestions that Cristian Eriksen could be heading for a late move away from Old Trafford.

Dealing with a host of injury setbacks this season and struggling to find any real stability under Erik ten Hag, Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly weighing up a Deadline Day move.

With the Danish international desperate to get regular first-team action under his belt ahead of this summer’s European Championships, the one-time Tottenham midfielder is reportedly open to a potential switch away from Manchester.

Galatasaray are hopeful that they can agree on an initial loan deal for the 31-year-old with a buy option at the end of the season. Eriksen’s current deal at Old Trafford is set to end next summer.

Atletico eye controversial Greenwood swoop

Although Mason Greenwood might have completed a controversial loan switch to Getafe last summer, the 22-year-old has made an on-field impact since arriving in the Spanish capital.

Notching seven La Liga strikes this season and recording a further four assists, the Manchester United forward has attracted some real interest regarding a permanent move this year.

Alongside continued speculation that Barcelona are keeping tabs on Greenwood, Atletico Madrid are the latest Spanish heavyweight that are keen on completing a swoop this summer.

While the duo of Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata might have continued to shine this season, there has been growing suggestions that Simeone is keen on adding attacking reinforcements ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

With Joao Felix likely to make his move away from the Spanish capital a permanent one this summer, Atletico would be in a financial position where they are able to spend some cash.

Leao at the end of his AC Milan cycle

Playing a crucial role as AC Milan reached the Champions League knockout stage last season, Rafael Leao has certainly cemented his spot as one of AC Milan’s main poster boys.

However, although the Portuguese ace might have notched just a pair of goals since returning from November’s international break, the 24-year-old has remained a key part of Stefano Pioli’s charge this year.

Nevertheless, despite putting pen to paper on a new five-year deal at the San Siro last summer, it appears that Leao has his sights set on securing a big-money move away from the Italian giants.

With Leao stating that he believes he is “at the end of his cycle” with the Rossoneri, the former Lille star has plenty of European giants that are chasing his signature.

Alongside continued speculation surrounding a blockbuster move to French icons PSG, it has also been suggested that Premier League outfit Newcastle are long-term admirers.

City agree Savio deal

Although January’s transfer window might have only just slammed shut, Manchester City are already lining up their business ahead of the summer.

With Girona at the heart of a famous La Liga title charge this season, a huge part of their success has come thanks to 19-year-old sensation Savio.

The Brazilian starlet has scored five goals and registered a further five assists in his 23 top-flight appearances for the Catalan-based outfit this season. Savio will stay pit with the Spanish title contenders until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Quickly becoming one of Europe’s hottest young prospects, the former PSV loanee will offer real competition to the likes of Jeremy Doku and England international Jack Grealish.

It was heavily suggested during January’s transfer window that Girona had rebuffed bids from both Premier League and Bundesliga clubs in the region of €30million.
