Jurgen Klopp was delighted at Borussia Dortmund’s performance in their 5-1 DFB-Pokal win over Hannover on Wednesday.
Goals from Mario Gotze, Kuba and a second for the 20-year-old starlet helped BVB to a 3-0 lead at half-time, before he completed his hat-trick in the second period and Robert Lewandowski rounded off the scoring.
“It was a beautiful game. My team played an outstanding, fantastic game,” he said.
“Gotze was of course also great, but I think the whole team put in a fantastic attacking performance. It was nice to see a game in which everything goes right,” Klopp told the official BVB website.
“I had told the players before the game that they must show how much they want to get to the final Berlin and I think they showed just that.
“We played some great football, even if I didn´t like a short period in the second half. We let things slide a bit then, and so I needed to put some petrol into the tank. That´s why my voice grew louder.
“But there´s really no reason to complain. It was a great game, and an unbelievable performance by my team.”
Dortmund will host Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
