Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that there is currently no deal in place for them to sign Thiago Alcantara this summer.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League champions, as well as a potential switch over to Manchester United. Up to this point it’s seemed as if the Reds are in the lead in the race to secure his signature, but there’s still been no confirmation one way or the other.
Klopp has always been a shrewd man when it comes to transfers and there’s a reason why he’s been so overwhelmingly successful during his time at Anfield. The majority of Liverpool fans would sign off on a player joining them purely based on the fact that Klopp has given it the green light, and that just shows how much confidence they have in him.
