Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that he doesn’t think the club needs to replace Philippe Coutinho. The boss has stated that the Brazilian has a very particular style, and he wouldn’t want to put that kind of pressure on anyone else in midfield by stating that they’re nothing more than a replacement for the superstar.
Coutinho left Anfield at the start of the year in favour of a move to Barcelona, and since then, both parties have really benefitted from the move. The Reds were able to reach the Champions League final against Real Madrid, whereas Coutinho was able to grow into his role at the Nou Camp before enjoying a pretty successful World Cup campaign with Brazil.
As we look ahead to the new season Liverpool seem to be better than ever, as they attempt to challenge not only on a European front, but also in the Premier League title race.
