Klose linked with Germany return

Lazio striker Miroslav Klose could be returning to Germany in the near future, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The veteran forward will be out of contract in the summer, but he reportedly plans to remain with the Biancocelesti for the remainder of his career and is expected to sign on for another year or two.

However, his former club Kaiserslautern plan to launch an assault on the 36-year-old either in January or in the summer.

The Red Devils are widely tipped to return to German Bundesliga at the end of the season and they hope to persuade Miroslav Klose to join their ranks.

Lazio would prefer to keep hold of the striker for another year even if he is now playing second fiddle to summer recruit Filip Djordjevic, but they will obviously have no say in the matter if Klose opts against signing a new contract and leaves at the end of the season.
