Klose set for Lazio stay

Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that veteran striker Miroslav Klose will remain at Lazio for another season.

The German forward had a one-year extension triggered by making twenty appearances this term, but that is not the only reason why he will be staying at Stadio Olimpico.

Coach Stefano Pioli and club officials have been impressed with his latest performances and they also believe that Klose is a great influence on younger players.

And after initially complaining about the lack of first team opportunities, the 36-year-old is currently perfectly happy at Lazio, and is ready to remain with the club until his contract comes to an end.

Miroslav Klose continues to prove he can still play at a very high level, with the striker having bagged 10 goals in just 14 competitive starts this term.

He returned to the starting line-up as Filip Djordjevic suffered a difficult injury and has scored 5 goals in last 10 appearances.
