Patrick Kluivert has been named the new head coach of Indonesia on a two-year contract.
The former Barcelona and Netherlands forward replaces Shin Tae-yong, and will aim to guide the Pasukan Garuda to only their second World Cup finals.
Kluivert had been out of work since a five-month spell with Turkish side Adana Demirspor in 2023, while he has also had two spells in charge of Curacao.
Indonesia are ranked 127th in the world, and sit third in their World Cup qualifying group after six of 10 matches, with the top two qualifying for next year’s tournament.
The 48-year-old’s first match in charge will be a third qualifying round tie against Australia in March.
Selamat datang, Patrick Kluivert!
