(GSM) – Kobenhavn scored late to secure a lifeline against a Rosenborg side that seemed to be cruising to a comfortable victory in Tuesday’s Champions League play-off clash.

Rosenborg were too strong for Greek outfit AIK in the previous qualifying round while Kobenhavn defeated BATE to reach this stage.

The close to 19,000 fans in Trondheim celebrated an opening goal from Steffen Iversen in the 23rd minute and Markus Henriksen made it 2-0 three minutes before the hour.

But with six minutes to go in the Norwegian town, Jesper Gronkjaer scored what may be a vital away goal as the Danish side now need a 1-0 win in the return leg to win the tie.

That second encounter is scheduled to take place in the Danish capital city on Wednesday, August 25.
