Koeman adamant that Schneiderlin will stay put

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is adamant that he will be able to keep hold of midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this January, according to the Mail Online.

The France international has been constantly linked with a move away from St Mary’s since not being allowed to leave in the summer, like so many of his former teammates did.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both keen to secure the services of the 25 year old, but his manager is certain that the club will not sell any of their players when the transfer window reopens.

Schneiderlin, who signed for Saints in the summer of 2008, has made fifteen appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring three times.

He has been capped for his country seven times, having made his international debut in an 8-0 friendly victory over Jamaica in the lead up to this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
