Everton boss Ronald Koeman is lining up a move for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, according to the Mirror.
The Dutch manager is keen to be reunited with the twenty-five year old having signed him for the Saints in the summer of 2015.
Since arriving at St Mary’s, the Netherlands international has racked up fifty-five appearances for the the south coast club in all competitions, the last of which came in their 1-0 win over the Toffees on Sunday afternoon while he scored his first goal of the campaign in the 2-1 Europa League victory over Inter Milan earlier this month.
He was named Southampton’s Player of the Season last year while prior to his move to England he won back to back Scottish Premiership titles with Celtic.
He has been capped twelve times by his country and has played every minute of their 2018 World Cup qualification campaign so far.
